Directionality for Teams and Workplaces
Directionality gives a staff team, department or small business a shared, positive vocabulary for how each person communicates, makes decisions and solves problems. Everyone takes a short assessment — about 10 minutes — and learns their mix of four color-coded pathways.
Why teams use Directionality
It works for school staff and business teams alike. There are no right or wrong answers, and every pathway brings something the team needs.
Collaboration
See why one colleague wants every detail first and another wants to jump in, and plan work so both styles help.
Decision-making
Some people decide with logic, some with people in mind, some by the plan and some on the move. Naming the difference makes meetings easier.
Problem-solving
Bring each pathway’s strengths to a problem on purpose, instead of by accident.
Fewer power struggles
A shared vocabulary helps people talk about friction without blame.
Working with difficult people
Understand what a hard-to-reach colleague may need, and adjust how you ask.
Staff development
A practical topic for a staff meeting or training day that everyone can take part in.
The four pathways on a team
Everyone uses all four. Results show each person’s primary and secondary pathways.
Red pathway
Flexible and adventurous. Brings energy and is ready for a change of direction.
Green pathway
Logical and future-focused. Brings analysis and a vision for what comes next.
Yellow pathway
Ordered and dependable. Brings structure, schedules and step-by-step follow-through.
Blue pathway
Harmonious and caring. Brings empathy and keeps the team connected.
CAR at work
Directionality’s CAR stands for Climate, Attitude and Relationships. Just as a CAR needs four balanced wheels, a team runs best when every pathway is understood and valued — not when everyone thinks the same way. Learn more in What is Directionality?

Step 3: Everyone takes the assessment
About 10 minutes each, in their own account, using the High School / Adult version.
