Online assessment
Take the Directionality Assessment
The Directionality assessment shows how you communicate, learn and make decisions. It takes about 10 minutes online and costs $7. There are versions for elementary school (ages 9–11), middle school (ages 12–14), and high school students and adults. Your results — your primary and secondary pathways, your mix of all four colors and what they mean — appear as soon as you finish, and you can download them as a PDF. Have a code from your school or teacher? Enter it in your account instead of paying.
Why temperament matters
A short introduction before you take the assessment.
Understanding How People Are Wired
Most conflict isn’t malicious — it’s temperament. An introduction to the four Directionality pathways and how understanding them helps families, classrooms and relationships.
Questions about the assessment
How much does the assessment cost?
$7 for one online assessment. If your school or teacher gave you a code, the assessment is already paid for — enter the code in your account.

About 10 minutes. The elementary version has 10 questions; the middle school and high school/adult versions have 20. Your answers save as you go.
Which version should I take?
Choose your school level when you create your account: Elementary School (ages 9–11), Middle School (ages 12–14), or High School / Adult.
What kind of results will I receive?
Your primary and secondary pathways, a chart of your mix of all four colors, what each pathway means, and your Pathway Guides — strengths, needs, learning style and more. You can download or print your results as a PDF.

Yes. Each attempt needs a new purchase or code. Your earlier results stay in your account.
What if I forget my password?
Choose “Forgot your password?” on the log-in page and follow the email we send you.
