About Directionality.Me

The aim of Directionality is to maximize productivity and efficiency and foster caring, genuine relationships and career choices by opening communication pathways through understanding and insight. We do that with a simple, shared vocabulary — four color-coded pathways — that children and adults can remember and use together.

Where Directionality comes from

Directionality grows out of a long tradition of temperament research — from Hippocrates around 400 BC, through Plato, Carl Jung and Erich Fromm, to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Keirsey and Bates, and Dan Lowery. That work shows that people are born with different temperaments and communicate in different ways.

Directionality is its own assessment. It turns that research into four color-coded communication pathways that students, families and teams can remember. What is Directionality? covers the background in more depth.
